Top Artists Of All Time: Division 7-60's Pop/Pop-Rock

This Friday, Division 7 focuses on 60's Pop/Pop-Rock. 32 Artists were on the ballot and the Top 8 moving on all did so in a convincing manner. A panel of 20 voters cast votes for their 6 favorite artists in a genre each week. The top 8 receiving votes move on to the semifinals. It's part of The Top Artists Of All Time (32 Artists, 32 Genres) featured on station to station each Friday.

Out of 20 voters, 14 (70%) cast ballots for Division 7: 60's Pop/Pop-Rock.Out of the 32 artists on the ballot, 17 received at least one vote. 4 different artists received at least one first place vote. The age old debate of Beatles vs. Stones went to The Beatles by two points. Their points were enough to put them at #3 and #4, respectively, on the overall leader board. Artists positions there will determine where they'll be seeded in the semifinals rounds. Also dialing it up this week: The Who (In another division, may have scored a bit more), The Beach Boys, The Kinks, Simon & Garfunkel and Niel Diamond. The Monkees round off a pretty solid and representative 8.
