Quick Take: Written and produced by Keith Forsey as the theme to the hit John Hughes
film The Breakfast Club, "Don't You (Forget About Me)" is a pretty
terrific pop single, appealingly dramatic in a teen-angsty kind of way,
with a great tension-and-release chorus and a classic iteration of the
old "bass and drum breakdown swelling into an anthemic final chorus"
trick that uses Michael MacNeil's symphonic synthesizer style to its
fullest.
